Bible Stories for Everyone is a free educational project created and offered by Dr. Charles Browne for learners of English. Each story uses carefully controlled vocabulary so that learners can read comfortably, enjoy the story, and improve their English through extensive reading.

The stories are built around two corpus-based vocabulary lists: the New General Service List (NGSL; Browne, Culligan & Phillips, 2013), which covers the most important vocabulary of general English, and the Bible English List (BEL; Browne & Culligan, 2026), which adds 1,000 important words needed for reading the Bible. Together, the NGSL and BEL provide approximately 99% coverage of Bible English.
